Digital Sports Physio is a dynamic digital and in-person physiotherapy service for prevention, assessment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal discomfort, pain and sports injury.
Lucie's approach is clear, practical, evidence-based and emphasises treating the cause of your discomfort or injury. With 18 years of experience as a chartered physiotherapist, Lucie has guided thousands of people back to day-to-day hobbies and activities, work, elite sport and the music industry. Lucie approaches your needs with the same energy, attention to detail and focus whether you're a student or grandparent, haven't played sport for years or play sport to international level - your personal goals are kept central throughout.

Get help to feel stronger, more flexible, less discomfort and back to the activities you love - more easily.

What Areas Can Be Helped?
Lucie has found that nearly all musculoskeletal aches, pains and injuries can be successfully assessed and improved remotely, including: neck, shoulder, lower back, hip, groin, knee, ankle, foot (including gait problems), muscle and tendon discomfort or injuries, joint pain, strains and sprains, arthritis and jaw problems (TMJ).

Hands-on Therapy
Where indicated, manual therapy improves mobility, reduces tightness, eases spasm and pain so that your rehabilitation can be more effective. It's also a great way to maintain your skeletal health and overall well-being in conjunction with regular exercise specifically targeting your needs.

Sports-specific sessions are helpful to integrate new movement patterns into your sport or activity. You could meet at a running track, golf course or tennis court for on-site warm up and training drills to promote injury prevention and rehabilitation - individually or in groups.

Manual therapy sessions can be booked a year in advance through the online portal and take place in the west of Ireland between October and March. On-site sports-specific sessions can also be booked in advance by emailing Lucie.

Access hours of bite-sized strength, conditioning and educational videos with the Digital Sports Physio (DSP) Academy. Lucie combines her anatomical and biomechanical knowledge with pilates principles, strength and conditioning and functional movement training to deliver digestible and practical physical training. Learn about the body's structure, how to avoid day-to-day aches and pains and how to reduce your chances of getting injured during work, sports or everyday activity. Get detailed exercise routines and training programmes that are realistic and designed to be easily incorporated into your busy schedule or training programme.

30 Minute Physio Session

After some questions about your discomfort or injury and your general health, Lucie will assess strength and movement and ask you to carry out specific tests if they are needed. Following a discussion, an individualised plan with a time line will be suggested. Lucie will guide you through the rehab programme and send you a copy of the exercises with a written summary of the first session.

Do you have more than one area of pain like back and leg pain at the same time or neck and arm pain? Have you had a traumatic injury such as a car crash, fall from a horse / bike or a climbing accident where more than one area has been injured? If so, a 45 minute session is recommended so that time can be spent assessing and formulating a plan for each separate area.

Do you have lower back pain? Using a mixture of pilates, strength and conditioning as well as functional movement training principles tailored to you, this course of six focussed 30 minute sessions aims to improve your core control, co-ordination and strength from any starting point. Great for recovery from many types of sports injury (eg hamstring tear or twisted ankle) as it combines upper and lower limb function and balance with core control and strengthening. The course can also help in the prevention of lower back pain.
